WWE has announced that they’ve signed former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill to a multi-year contract.
Cargill will report to WWE Performance Center beginning today for training. No word on whether or not she will head directly to either RAW or Smackdown, or if she’ll have a stint in NXT first.

Smith’s Sentiment: This is a great hire by WWE. Jade is an AEW home-grown talent who has made tremendous improvements in the ring. AEW did a good job of building her up, but this is absolutely the best place for her. The WWE system will make her a mega star. I think she’d be better served doing a short stint in NXT, possibly being the one to take the title from Becky Lynch. NXT has the best women’s division and gets the most televised time. Keeps her on TV to improve, and possibly brings some eyeballs to NXT. We’ll see what happens and where she goes.
