Bungie posted their weekly This Week at Bungie and buried in it was a note detailing a price increase for purchasing a standalone Season Pass in Destiny 2.
The Season Pass has traditionally cost 1000 Silver, or $10. Beginning with Season 21, which begins May 23rd, purchasing an individual season will cost 1,200 Silver, or $12.
It’s important to note that previously you could spend $9.99 and get 1,100 Silver. That was enough to get the current Season Pass and have 100 Silver left.
Now at 1,200 Silver, you’ll have to either spend $19.99 to get 2,300 Silver or spend $9.99 to get 1,100 Silver plus an additional $4.99 to get 500 Silver.
But of course there’s conviently a Season Pass + 10 Ranks bundle that cost 2,200 Silver.
The change comes “as Bungie continues to invest in crafting compelling Seasonal experiences. They noted that they’ll be evaluating new approaches to post-launch content in the year of The Final Shape (next year’s big expansion).
