– The SmackDown World Cup begins. The World Cup is an Eight-Man tournament where the winner will earn an Intercontinental Championship match against GUNTHER

Smith’s Sentiment: I love the the World Cup concept. It’s timely, and the roster has a lot of nations represented so it just makes sense. Plus it’s a great way to build up the prestige of the Intercontinental Championship. Shinsuke/Santos should be excellent, and Usos/New Day always deliver. Looks like a really good show.
