Patriot’s Playing: Darksiders Warmastered

Darksiders Warmastered

It’s been a while since I’ve done a Patriot’s Playing blog. In fact, I don’t believe I’ve done on here on LootPlex.com yet. So, it’s time to remedy that.

I am currently playing through Darksiders Warmastered Edition on Apocalyptic difficulty. Going for the old 100% platinum trophy.

Back when Darksiders came out on PS3, I played a little bit of it but never even got to Tiamat (so not far). Other stuff pulled me away from it and I never went back to it.

I am still early into the game, I guess. I’m not sure how long it is supposed to be, but I’m almost to the second boss (The Griever).

So far, I haven’t ran into too much trouble. The hardest difficulty has thus far proven to not be all that difficult. Hopefully that doesn’t change.

Went I get back to it tonight, I should make it past The Griever. Hopefully. I don’t know what that fight entails or how difficult the boss might be as I’ve avoided watching any videos on it.

Tiamat wasn’t bad, so Griever probably isn’t either. At worst, I may die a few times and learn the attacks/mechanics.

Once I get the platinum for this, the goal is to move on and do the same for Darksiders II Deathinitive. After that, I will dive into Darksiders III for the first time, though I can’t yet say whether or not I’ll care to try for the platinum.

Right now though, I’m really enjoying Warmastered and happy that I ventured way into the backlog and gave it another chance. It’s scratching an itch for this type of hack-and-slash/puzzle game.

Also Playing:

Of course, still putting a little bit of time each week in Destiny 2. I don’t care about the seasonal approach, and I still hate the RNG power climb which only frustrates.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla got an update with some new free content this week, and so I’ve been back on that as well. I think Valhalla is a fantastic game, but man I wish it would’ve been Odyssey that got the support Valhalla gets. I just enjoy the world and gameplay more in Odyssey, despite how good Valhalla is.

On the Xbox front, still putting some time into Disney Dreamlight Valley. I don’t particularly care for Disney, but man it’s such a good Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing life sim game that I can look past my dislike for Disney.

What are you playing this weekend? Let me know in the comments below.
