Nexon has revealed the first full trailer for The First Descendant.
The First Descendant is an upcoming third-person co-operative action RPG shooter. In other words, a looter shooter.
The game will be free-to-play when it releases. No release has been announced, but if you’re on PC you’ll be able to play the game during the Steam beta which begins on Thursday, October 20th.
You can add the game to your Steam wishlist now and sign-up for the beta. The beta will have 10 playable characters to choose from.
From the press release:
The high-quality graphics, built in Unreal Engine 5, show dynamic four-player co-op battles as the Descendants wage war against Karel and his army of alien invaders. In the trailer, Lepic (a versatile fighter with powerful guns built into his arm), Viessa (a debuffer who freezes enemies by controlling cold air), Bunny (super-quick nuke with electrical attacks), and Ajax (the tank with space-warping skills) team up to battle huge alien bosses. More dynamic action can also be seen through additional characters with unique skill sets. The bosses, each with unique appearances and combat styles, are susceptible to distinct player abilities, weapons, and grappling hook attacks that can cling to and remove body parts.
The First Descendant is coming to PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One.
Smith’s Sentiment: Awesome trailer. Everything shown so far looks great. I love looters, and will be all over this. Hopefully it lives up to the expectations set from the trailer. There have been a lot of looter shooters that didn’t live up to the potential. A lot of this will depend on how the monetization goes. Definitely one to keep an eye on.
