Smith’s Sentiment: Well, this will certainly be an interesting one. If you missed the news, Mr. McMahon has stepped down from being CEO and Chairman while he is under investigation by the Board for misconduct. We’ll see what he has to say tonight, but I wouldn’t expect much. Seems like a ratings ploy since he’s in the news, might as well advertise an appearance and capitalize on it.
Riddle/Reigns should be a good match, but does anyone expect Riddle to win it and on a Smackdown nonetheless?
Finally, its a longshot but I really wish Dupri’s first client would be a returning Cesaro. If you’re going to make Eli Drake a manager, and he’ll be a good one because he’s an excellent talker, then at least make him the manager of someone who could benefit from having one. I think Cesaro is a fine promo, but having Max Dupri do the talking for him would be huge. Will it be Cesaro? Probably not, he’s still a free agent as far as we know. But he looks like a million bucks and this would be a great way to reintroduce him. Fingers crossed! If they bring out Mace or Mansoor, it’s gonna be a big flop and waste of Dupri.
