Smith’s Sentiment: A really strong Smackdown. Sheamus/Drew will probably meet again in another qualifier, but that was a hard-hitting match and I didn’t mind the non-finish.

Xia deserved better than a quick loss, but I get it.

Speaking of quick, surprised that Shotzi was able to get in some offense and look good against Ronda. It isn’t hard to make everyone look good, and this match is an example of that. Shotzi came out of defeat looking good.

Gunter/Ricochet was entertaining, and I would say definitely the right call with Gunter winning the title. Now lets hope they actually push him and the title, because they haven’t cared about it in years. With Roman away most of the time, it is the only mens single title on the show. Lets have Gunter bring some prestige back to it.

Finally, Riddle/Zayn was a really good main event. WWE needs to stop this trend though of sending a wrestler to the ring, then showing three or four different video packages, the opponent come out, and then a commercial break. Takes 20 minutes to get a match started when they do that, it’s ridiculous.

Riddle/Reigns next week should be good.

All in all, a really good episode for the blue brand this week.
