RAW Women’s Champion Bianca Belair signed an open contract on Monday’s RAW, and while she waited to see her opponent would be she was attacked from behind by WWE official Sonya Deville. Sonya signed the contract and announced that she was Bianca’s next challenger.
While fellow official Adam Pearce protested backstage, the match is now officially set.
Here is the updated lineup for WWE’s next premium live event, WrestleMania Backlash:
– Smackdown Women’s Championship I Quite Match: Charlotte Flair (c) vs. Ronda Rousey
– RAW Women’s Championship Match: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Sonya Deville
– Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins
WWE WrestleMania Backlash will be held on Sunday, May 8th from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island and will stream live on Peacock.
Smith’s Sentiment: I hate the name WrestleMania Backlash, it’s so stupid. Just call it Backlash. Furthermore, we’ve got two WrestleMania rematches announced. WrestleMania should end feuds. Complaints aside, the card is still shaping up well. I do like Bianca/Sonya, that’s a fresh match.
